Do any of you out there do New Year's Resolutions?  Mine are always the same: some variant of "Get in Shape".  Do any of you use this one?  have any better ones?

Happy New Year and may all your resolutions come true.

Today is EJ's 21st birthday.  Happy Birthday Lizzie!

It's been a long time since I posted but since no one seemed to notice, I guess I got away with it.

David and I have started Spanish classes at the local Community College.  We hope to visit Quito, Ecuador in 2006.  David went last Spring on a Church trip and hopes to do the same next year.  I want to go too.  After David's trip, we hosted a couple in our home when a large contingent visited our Church, http://fairhavenchurch.org.  We were both embarrassed at how little Spanish we knew compared to how much English they knew.  So now it is time for these old dogs to learn new tricks.  Hola!  It's fun doing this together.

Now if only Mrs. Hallowell would post some Boston pictures, we'd all be up to date.  Can you imagine what Adam's dorm room looks like?  I can't either.  Need a picture!  EJ took 3 cars full of stuff to school to the room she shares with 2 other girls (who also brought lots of stuff) and then they bought a couch at the thrift store.  Last I heard, Adam had his backpack and one car load (which included 3 people.)  Girls highly value their creature comforts...

I'll save some thoughts for later in case I get any comments.

The quilt show was great!  And the vendors weren't  bad either!  I bought 24 pieces of fabric today.  I'm itching to finish one of my current projects and start a new one.  The fabrics are gorgeous!  It's like getting a new box of crayons...

I spent the day in Columbus at the National Quilting Association's annual show.  Today I took a class from a famous teacher.  It was a "Paper and Pencil" class with no sewing.  We learned to design patterns using rectangles instead of squares.  Very good class.  Tomorrow I will return to Columbus to actually view the quilt show. I love road trips with my quilt buddies.

Xanga

ok this is number one.  Now that all my technical advisors have gone for the summer, i'll have to figure this out for myself.  I admit i set this up mainly so i can stop mooching on your sites and be legit.
